The students of the low secondary school clean their vegetable garden and help the little ones of the kindergarten to clean theirs.

Then they decide what to plant for the winter: onions, spinach,chicory, potatoes. Their choice is based on a previous research on the most suitable

vegetables to be grown during the winter in our territory. The research was based both on the use of ICT and on interviews to parents - and,

especially, grandparents.

The students os some of the second classes of the the low secondary school also record daily the data about temperature and humidity, thanks to a small "meteo station". The data are collected on a chart and later analysed and organised in graphics, with the help of ICT tools.

At the primary school "Vespucci" pupils collect the last produce of their vegetable garden and start sowing inside, in wooden boxes - and observing daily the plants growing.

DECEMBER-MARCH
When the first products are ready, the pupils of the kindergarten "Peter Pan" and the students of the low secondary school "A.Roncalli" prepare together a couple of special dishes : potatoes and spinach "gnocchi" and chicory /spinach pies.

At all of school levels, pupils start working on a questionnaire for the Market Reasearch - the first step to our eventual Business Plan. The questionnaires were filled in with the participation of the students' families.

Some questions - especially one ( How many professional farmers are there on your territory) had no real answer ( "I don't know", " A few"...), thus some of the students suggested we could write an e-mail to the mayor and ask...And they did it. No reply has been received yet :(


At the primary school "Vespucci", the pupils work on a Creative connection between vegetables and the world of art, and taking inspiration from Arcimboldo ...And using a collage technique.

At the primary school "Da Vinci", they work already on possible "products"...A vegetable stock cube, some little soaps.... Bottle green houses...

"Da Vinci" Primary School pupils collect some of their garden products - potatoes, onions, "rucola" - taste them and then use them to prepare some natural "snacks".

At "Roncalli" low secondary school our students worked a lot to clean the garden and set it for new seeding and planting. They decided to plant some flowers and evergreen plants in front of the school main entrance. In the vegetable planters they decided to plant more or less the same vegetables of the previous year, as the harvest was quite gorgious.

Some classes of the low secondary school visited a small farming enterprise and learnt how to transform some vegetables and fruit into canned food; they were explained the correct procedures to do it and tried to do it with some sample vegetables.

At the beginning of May our School as a whole partecipated to an open air exhibition, organised by "Slow Food" Association during a local festival. In our stall we explained what SEED was, what we had already achieved and what were our future aims. The contributions of all degrees of school were showcased and explained in detail.

Towards the end of May, the kindergarten and the low secondary school organised a common celebration of the Project. The pupils
and the techers prepared some typical food & drink from the different partner countries and had a nice lunch all together.
